    Vietnam MIC certification on October 1 this year to implement the mandatory certification of battery products

    The MIC department of Vietnam announced in early 2016 that from October 1 this year, all lithium batteries, including those independently sold and used in terminal products (laptops, tablets, mobile phones, etc.), will require DOC certificates (standard no. : QCVN 101:2006 / BTTTT). The above products will also be required to provide the battery DoC when doing the MIC certification in Vietnam.

    On July 4, 2016, considering that the product testing and certification cycle is too long and battery manufacturers do not have enough time to meet the certification requirements, MIC department issued a notice again: the mandatory certification date of battery products will be postponed to April 1, 2017.
