According to the latest notice of China Quality Certification Center (CQC), from May 6, 2025, the implementation procedures of compulsory product certification (CCC certification) for mobile power (0914) and lithium-ion batteries and battery packs (0915) will be significantly adjusted.
Certification mode adjustment
From May 6, 2025, the certification mode of 0914 and 0915 products will be uniformly adjusted to: "Type test + initial factory inspection + post-certification supervision"
◆ Type test: Testing through sampling at the production site (the original mode is enterprise sample delivery).
◆ Initial factory inspection: Ensure that production conditions and quality control meet the requirements.
◆ Post-certification supervision: After certification, regularly check product consistency and factory quality system.
Adjustment of sampling method for type test
From May 6, 2025, for the accepted applications for 0914 and 0915 products, the type test samples will be adjusted from the original "company submission" to "production site sampling". Relevant enterprises must ensure that the production site has samples that meet the requirements, and the quantity must meet the requirements of the type test plan
◆ Sample consistency requirements: The actual mass-produced products must be consistent with the samples that finally pass the type test, otherwise it may lead to certification failure or certificate revocation.
◆ Enterprise cooperation requirements: Production enterprises need to plan production plans in advance to ensure that qualified samples can be provided during laboratory sampling. And production enterprises should keep complete records of production site sampling (including sampling sheets, sampling videos and other materials) and archive them for future reference.
