On April 27, 2022, China Quality Certification Center released the revised version of "CQC11-464112-2015 Safety Certification Rules for Secondary Batteries and Battery Packs for Portable/Fixed Electronic Equipment".

The main changes in the revision are:

1. Added lithium battery certification standards for stationary equipment batteries other than lithium batteries for portable products;

2. The validity period of the modified certificate is 5 years;

3. Modify the certification mark.

Scope of application: This standard applies to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for stationary electronic equipment (hereinafter referred to as batteries and battery packs). The fixed electronic equipment includes:

a. Fixed information technology equipment (IT equipment);

b. Fixed audio and video equipment (AV equipment) and similar equipment;

c. Fixed communication technology equipment (CT equipment);

d. Stationary measurement control and laboratory electronics and similar equipment.

Note: The fixed electronic equipment listed above does not include all equipment, so equipment not listed may also be included in the scope of this standard. This standard also applies to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for uninterruptible power supply (UPS), emergency power supply (EPS), etc.
