What is the EMC test of lamps?

EMC test is also called electromagnetic compatibility test. Lamp EMC test refers to assessing the ability of lamps to operate in compliance with the requirements in their electromagnetic environment and not produce intolerable electromagnetic interference to any equipment in the environment. Therefore, the luminaire EMC test includes two requirements: on the one hand, the electromagnetic interference generated by the luminaire in the normal operation process cannot exceed a certain limit; on the other hand, it refers to the electromagnetic interference of the luminaire in the environment. Has a certain degree of immunity, namely electromagnetic sensitivity.

What are the lamps that need to be tested for EMC?

Except for incandescent lamps (all incandescent lamps including tungsten halogen lamps) and are not equipped with dimming devices or electronic switches, no EMC test is required, other lamps need to be EMC tested, and other lamps without electronic devices are exempt from EMS test.
